LG’s stunning Signature R1 65-inch Rollable OLED, which was seen for the first time at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show is finally coming to Australia – and it will only set customers back $130,000.

LG’s R1 Rollable ultra-thin and flexible OLED rolls up from a cabinet to its full 65-inch size when you’d like to watch it and then roll it down and out of sight when you’re done.

From July 2021, Australian customers will be able to pre-order the LG R1 Rollable OLED TV.

Once a deposit is accepted, LG will custom make the TV in six to eight weeks before shipping the TV and setting it up in your home.

The LG R1 Rollable OLED TV features ground-breaking technology that has completely reimagined the TV and also reimagined how a TV will fit in your home.

You could position the LG R1 Rollable OLED TV in front of a large window so you can still roll down the TV when you’ve finished watching TV and still enjoy the view.

With a $130,000 price tag, there will only be a handful of customers who will want to include what’s been called a tech work of art in their luxury home.

The display can roll out to three different heights – Full view, Line view and Zero view.

Full view is for regular TV viewing, Line view offers a range of information widgets like the weather, time and news headlines as well as access to your music.

LG showcased its range of 2021 OLED, NanoCell, its new QNED NanoCell TV and 4K UHD TVs in a luxury Sydney harbourside home.

The LG OLED TVs are available in sizes between 48-inch and 83-inches, LG NanoCell can be purchased from 55-inches to 86-inch and the QNED NanoCell will be released in 65-inch and 75-inch.

The new LG QNED TVs incorporate mini LED technology which creates more dimming zones and smaller light sources which means viewers will see more precise brightness control, deeper blacks and increased contrast ratio.

LG has also announced that for the next four weeks from May 20, LG will offer customers who purchase an LG OLED, NanoCell or 4K UHD TV 77-inches and above, free delivery and wall mount or tabletop installation from selected retailers.
